And the pacing of the stories are really good, so even the most cliché concepts are told in a really good way. Their characters are generally realistic and well-written. But Furuya Nagisa (the author of this manga) generally writes better and more realistic stories even though some of them may be cliché. So basically, I kind of feel the same way about the author of this and the author of "Kamisama to Tobenai Tsukai". And I wouldn't want to add most of them on this list. And, they were all good! But, again, not as good at this one. I have read all of their works as of now. So, let's talk about the mangaka again, shall we? To be honest with you, I rated this 7 at first but after writing this and thinking back on the story, I had to give it an 8. That "romantic interest but best buddies at the same time" thing they've got going on. The way the relationship changes after the confession is just amazing. This one literally just starts off with a confession scene and then tells what happens after that while it also gives us some backstory. Just the relationship between the main characters. And, this one is the one other manga I find relatable after Sasaki to Miyano I suppose. It is absolutely amazing for a short series. THE ART IS REALLY GOOD! It reminds me of an other artist I know of, but I don't know who exactly. I have seen what I'm about to say in the reviews of this manga, so it kinda feels like I'm stealing the reviewers words but, the one word you could use to describe this manga is just "warm" (and/or cozy).Ī short series, has a sequel (named "Kimi to Natsu no Naka" and it is just right below this one in the stack). SO DON'T FORGET TO CHECK OUT THEIR OTHER WORKS IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR SHORT SHOUNEN AI MANGA TO READ! Their stories seemed a bit lacking or cliché for me. I enjoyed them, but I didn't enjoy them as much as I did the ones on this stack. I don't think they belong in this stack, really.
But I probably won't add most of them here because even though I liked them, they didn't really. So, on a side note I do enjoy the other works of the same mangaka. (And, y'know, there is actually a story! It's not just "Hey, I dunno, they just met and fell in love ig") And if you do enjoy stories that have gods and such in them, I'd reccomend it! It's not amazing, or something special but it is extremely wholesome. The story is really nice for a short series. So I could reccomend their other works just for the art! I have read other manga made by the same author, and their art is always stunning.
The art is just so cute! The fluffy hair and shiny eyes makes my heart melt.
